Amy Kenyon has seen firsthand the importance of career counseling in high school. The school-to-career/youth apprenticeship coordinator at Milton High School works with young people on all ends of the spectrum – excellent students, struggling students and everyone in between – who desperately need guidance about what they should do after graduation. Now that the state of Wisconsin has mandated that students need to have a full-fledged career plan by the time they leave school, she has found that Inspire Rock County is becoming an increasingly useful tool for teenagers who want to figure out who they should be.
